"Someone You Can Trust" Synopsis

Brenden sleeps away his stress. Life isn't worth living. He doesn't wish to die, but he's afraid to make any more mistakes. He's through with making his own decisions, and sees fate as the only way to move along.
The people around him are distant. Frankie gets into all sorts of mischief. Violet reserves herself to the real people, those who can benefit from her presence. George, Whitney, Victoria—all these people are strong individuals; Brenden is the exception. But no one's out to save him. Brenden's journey begins with him saving himself, an adventure set in motion by the one who has always had his back: his shadow.

"The future is a blind leap."

The genre is drama/scit-fi/thriller. The humor is subtle because the main character is very focused. He traverses time after experiencing an encounter with his soul, who's job is to convince the main character that his life isn't governed by fate, but by the choices he makes, and to make life worth living. The concept isn't solid, but time travel itself is a thrilling experience, and the other characters make their own adventures durin the film, details of which have yet to be written.
The film is for those who appreciate it. I'm not aiming to make a blockbuster, I want to exercise and show off my skills in filmmaking. My target audience is those who like movies for what they can be, not simply an entertaining means of passing the time. I intend to engage them, more than just merely amuse them. And I need my movie poster to reflect this.
